Image 1 Title: Reverie

This charcoal drawing is a self portrait of time some time spent in remembrance of life's more unpleasant experiences. I am the mother of five children, but have lost two, one to mental illness. As I get older, I realize just how important it is to draw strength from your faith, family, and outside support. Also, learning to use healthy coping skills, for me, is essential as I get older. My art is one of those skills I have learned to use to help me with the grief of losing my boys.

Image 2 Title: Reflection

Like my previous piece, this is also a self portrait. I titled it reflections because as we age, we tend to look back over our lives and reflect on things we might have done better, or just differently.
