My name is Josiah Atkins and I am a local Lawrence artist. I work in watercolor and acrylic with a heavy focus on motion and mood. I love using colors and brushstrokes to create and sense of beauty in hopes the viewer can feel that same beauty in everyday simple moments. I have included a few samples I wish to display and would be very honored to have the opportunity at your gallery.

The first image is an art marker, ink pen illustration of Vancouver, BC Canada with a heavy focus on geometric shapes and motion.

The second image is a wolf design inspired by the time I spent with the Tahltan tribe of northern British Columbia, Canada.

The third image of the butterfly city reflects on the beauty and fragility of existence. In all these images, I hope to inspire others to slow down, breathe and notice the beauty that surrounds us in simple moments each day.
